Lorsque pour faire plaisir à son petit monde, papa bricole un appareilcapable de capter de nouvelles émissions de télévision, une créature inatendue fait son apparition : c'est un monstre affreux, mal élevé, bête et grotesque... à l'image de ses hôtes à qui il réserve d'ailleurs un sort peu enviable... Jamais vu autant de grimaces en 90mn , mais le film est exellent avecMary Woronov et Gerrit Graham en chefs de cette "improbable" famille, le fils et le grand-père bouffeurs de queue de lézards sechés, la fille habillée comme... elle peut, son petit ami hardos, sans oublier Médusa, "la parodie" de Elvira, et cet extra-terrestre qui débarque dans cette famille par leur écran de T.V. Nicolaou est un type qui aurait sans doute mérité d'avoir à réaliser des budgets plus conséquents, parce qu'il a réellement du potentiel je trouve. Une des meilleure prods Empire (qui annoncaient la danegreuse pente glissante vers la banqueroute, aussi!) la VF est à pleurer de rire, les SFX à se rouler par terre (voir l'ouverture sur Pluton, un grand moment de maquettes lego-meccano avec couleurs flashy). excellente musique, aussi. j'ai même le 33 T La partition de Richard Band est parfois éthérée, et avec subitement un déchianement de synthé. Quelques bonnes idées (l'alien qui peut s'approprier les corps, la partouze, les décors exquis) distillées durant ce temps... et puis après, on se fait chier, il se passe pas grand chose. ça aurait mérité d'être plus barré à la Evil Dead 2, plutôt que de se reposer sur le maigre concept de base et d'étirer les situations convenues. ça manque de folie, c'est trop pépère.
