(le seul?)Au temps des Van Damme et Chuck Norris, Paramount nous dégainait leur alternative Jeff Speakman (aujourd'hui cet homme doit probablement peser dans les 200 kilos) en nous annonçant fièrement THE PERFECT WEAPON, qui a défaut d'avoir rempli les salles, aura fait la joie des vidéo-clubs. Avec son torse imberbe de samouraï, ses biceps sculptés over budweiser, il fait le vide autour de lui avec ses p'tits coups de fouine débités à bonne cadence. Donnez-lui deux batons de bois, il devient frénétique. Repéré par le producteur de KICKBOXER, qui signe içi sa première réal, Speakman n'aura pas vraiment fait son trou malgré le tapis rouge déroulé même s'il s'en suivra un nombre non négligeable de DTV.Dommage... on retiendra tout de même le combat final contre un molosse japonais avoisinant les 150 kilos, gorille d'un caïd de la mafia de Séoul. Adolescent en conflit avec un père policier sévère, Jeff Sanders découvrit le Kenpo. Sous la tutelle du Maître Lo, il acquit la force et l'assurance qui font les grands combattants. Mais son agressivité est trop forte. APrès un accident dramatique, Jeff doit rompre avec les siens... De retour dans sa ville natale après une longue éclipse, Jeff reprend contact avec son ami et mentor, Kim. Le quartier est désormais sous la pression d'un trafiquant de drogue coréen sans scrupule.
