    This shit’s gonna go viral.

     

    Ahead of the Cannes market Epic Pictures Group shared with Deadline the international trailer and sales art for V/H/S Viral, which will complete our V/H/S trilogy. It was also announced via TheWrap that we sold the film to Magnolia Pictures to release through their Magnet genre label.

     

    The new tape features segments directed by Marcel Sarmiento (Deadgirl, the incredible The ABCs of Death segment “D Is for Dogfight”), Nacho Vigalondo (Timecrimes, Extraterrestrial), Gregg Bishop (The Other Side, Dance of the Dead), Todd Lincoln (The Apparition), as well as Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Resolution, Spring).

     

    “V/H/S Viral focuses on fame-obsessed teens who unwittingly become stars of the next internet sensation.“

     

    Justin Welborn and Emmy Argo are among the cast.

     

    Marcel Sarmiento, TJ Cimfel, Dave White, Gregg Bishop, Nacho Vigalondo, Justin Benson, Aaron Moorehead and Lincoln wrote the screenplays.

    Sinon un petit film d'horreur/fantastique français correctement distribué ça fait combien d'entrées maxi en France? 100 000?

    Est-ce suffisant pour rentabiliser et lancer une industrie du genre tournant à plein régime ici?

    Tout dépend l'investissement initial (bien évidemment...). Moi pour 100 000 entrées, j'encule deux chiennes et un rat (un gros rat). Après Pif et Hercule (Maury et Bustillo), veulent faire des films à plus de 2 millions d'euros, donc là, ça risque d'être très compliqué pour eux...

    Ce film a été fait pour l'export ...

    Pourquoi ne pas avoir fait ce film en anglais justement, afin de faciliter l'export ? C'est pas honteux, les biseux transalpins nous avaient montré la voie (je parle pour le cinéma "d'exploitation")...

     

    ce film déclencha lui permis je crois d'avoir au moins 50 000 entrées. Je pense que Tanzi niquerais un chien pour ce nombre

    Le chat encule des chiens à Montpellier pour des entrées ?

    La sortie débile sur l'opportunisme supposé de Tanzi Distribution mise à part (et quand bien même, j'ai envie de dire "et alors ?"), le débat n'est pas inintéressant. Maintenant, j'ai envie de dire que dans tous les cas, vue la distribution salle, c'est un film qui ne trouvera son public -s'il le trouve- qu'en DVD ou VOD. C'est d'ailleurs comme ça que j'ai pu voir les deux précédents Maury/Bustillo...

    Débat pas inintéressant comme tu dis... Une question : le public n'a-t-il pas été un peu échaudé par leur dernier film (qui faut l'avouer, ne cassait pas trois pattes à un canard) ?? Film d'ailleurs, qui était, paraît-il, mieux distribué ??

    Est-il en effet judicieux de vouloir sortir absolument ce genre de « produit » en salles ? Ou alors chez Tanzi distribution on ne cherche qu'à récolter l'aide à la distribution automatique accordée par le CNC. Ce que fait le film en salle après...

     

    Non pas que je veux prêcher pour la paroisse de Tanzi ( ), mais n'est-ce pas un peu calomnieux comme argumentaire tout ça ?

    La photo a l'air chouette

     

    Ca ca fait carrement plaisir, surtout que je suis certain que les photos 1 et 3 sont avant étalonnage.

    Pour la seconde, je ne suis plus sur, mais c'est aussi possible. On a vraiment essayé de soigner le film.

    As-tu fait ça avec ton Gh2 hacké ????? Il me tarde de voir le segment réalisé par un certain Yann Moreau !!

    If a new FRIDAY THE 13TH were to end up with the currently popular POV format (still no confirmation if it is), the director currently in negotiations just may be the best choice to take it on. The Wrap is reporting Paramount and Platinum Dunes are speaking to David Bruckner (co-director, THE SIGNAL) about helming the next in the FRIDAY THE 13TH series, one with no confirmed plot or shape as of yet.

     

    Bruckner of course, helmed “Amateur Night,” one of the standouts of 2012 found footage anthology V/H/S. The visceral, graphic and at times eerie spy cam look at “bro culture” has many of us still whispering, “I like you” to friends.

     

    The new FRIDAY THE 13TH is a highly anticipated curiosity, of sorts. The film is currently due in less than a year (Friday, the 13th of March 2015). It’s also the first film that sees Jason back at Paramount. Previous remake producers Platinum Dunes (headed by Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, as well as Michael Bay) are also on board, and if you’re a reader of Fango, you might know and very well have a strong opinion of the heavy rumors this film will take a found footage approach. Of course, many of us are still hoping for that mythic concept of Jason in the snow.

     

    Keep an eye on Fango for more as the upcoming FRIDAY THE 13TH develops.
