Bailey has a background in documentaries but his latest project is a feature adaptation of the non-fiction book The Last of the Tribe: The Epic Quest to Save a Lone Man in the Amazon which Doug Liman is attached to direct. Black Panther first appeared in the pages of the Fantastic Four comic in 1966 and is considered the first black hero in mainstream comics. Wesley Snipes was attached to play the character in a movie for Columbia in the 90s but it never got off the ground. Now Marvel are in the early stages of finally getting a Black Panther movie made.
